It all started with my Oupa – my Grandpa
To be honest, that first bear was a mess. The eyes were uneven, the nose was skew, the patterns didn’t match, and he definitely wasn’t stuffed enough.
But despite the flaws, the moment I held him, I felt my Oupa’s presence. It wasn’t about perfection; it was about the spirit of the man I loved.
That“perfectly imperfect”bear sparked a passion in me. Since then, I’ve refined my skills and mastered my craft to ensure every bear I make now is as precise as it is meaningful.
I’ve gotten much better at the sewing, but my mission remains the same:honoring your loved ones by creating a memory you can actually hold.

What is a Memory Bear?
A memory bear is a handcrafted keepsake made from sentimental clothing or fabrics. Whether it’s a child’s first outfit, a favorite blanket, or a loved one’s shirt, these bears are designed to preserve memories in a huggable form.
What kind of fabrics can be used?
Most fabrics work well, including cotton, flannel, fleece, jerseys, and blankets. If you have a specific item like a wedding dress or delicate lace, please contact us first so we can ensure the material is suitable for the bear’s structure.
How many items of clothing do I need to send?
For a standard bear, one adult-sized shirt or two to 4-6 baby outfits are usually enough. If you’d like a more “patchwork” look with multiple colors and patterns, feel free to send several items. Any unused fabric will be returned to you upon request.
Please review each bear as the amount of fabric differs depending on the size of the bear.
Where do I ship my items?
Once your order is placed, you will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to package your items and where to mail them. We recommend using a tracked shipping service.
Can I customize the bear's appearance?
Absolutely. You can choose the primary layout of the fabrics, and we offer options for custom embroidery on the paws or chest—such as names, dates, or a special message.
Is a Memory Bear a toy?
While our bears are sturdy and made for hugging, they are intended as keepsakes rather than toys for small children. They often contain small parts, like safety eyes, that may not be suitable for unsupervised play.
